{be inspired} Wet Winter Afternoon – colouring in with the kids

I’ve mentioned before that I love to colour in, and with the weather turning cold and wet, I’ve been on the hunt for some more colour-ins that the kids and I can do on those inside afternoons.

There’s a quote for everybody in the family over at The Quotes Coloring Pages at Doodle Art Alley. The fact that there are Dr Seuss quotes to colour in has the Little Man tickled pink, and Daughter is having a hard time deciding which one she wants to print.

Me… I’m starting with ‘Peace’… and if you’ll excuse me, I need to go sharpen my pencils.

Oh I love to colour in too! I find it relaxing and I think my love stems from being given colouring books when I was sick as a child. I have a few colouring in books now and my own set of crayons. But I must admit I am loving those Dr Seuss quotes. I good see myself colouring in a few of those pages.

I find it relaxes me too, Janine… plus it’s a great way to have a really honest conversation with the kids. I find that we talk about all sorts of things when we have colours in hand.
