Honey has anti-microbial – that is, it destroys or inhibits growth of micro-organisms, such as bacteria, fungi or protozoans – and healing properties and been used for over 2000 years as a natural remedy for the treatment of wounds and skin problems.
What you need –
Nothing but a good quality raw honey – about 2 tablespoons.
What to do –
Wet your face and leave it slightly damp. Apply the honey all over your face, avoiding the eye area.
Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Gently pat dry and moisturise as necessary.
This honey mask is not for everyone – if you have sensitive skin, are allergic to bees or the topical application of honey – not a good idea!
And be prepared for drips!!
