So, if you’ve had your eye on a design for a while, now is the time to pop on over to the shop and pick it up…

53 Pieces of Unsolicited Advice: No.38

embrace weather poster

The weather has finally turned colder in my little part of the world…

which means that everyone is complaining about it

Is there really any point in complaining about the weather?

We choose to live on top of a mountain which means, due to altitude, it’s going to get cold.

It also means that we get the four seasons in all their glory – beautifully mild Summers; stunning turning-of-the-leaves Autumns; warming your fingers by the fire Winters and pretty blooms in Spring.

So instead of whingeing about the weather, wouldn’t it be better to embrace what each individual season brings and celebrate it?

Are you a weather-whinger or do you simply flow with the weather?

The Weekend Photo Project: ‘Easter’

Easter photo prompt

4 days of family and relaxation

Wherever you are in the world and however you celebrate Easter, have a sensational (and safe) time.

and may the bunny man bring you as many (or as few) eggs as you wished for

T xo

Oh, almost forgot… here’s where you can share your Easter photos:

Facebook:  Create an album (title suggestion – My Weekend Photo Project) and upload your photos (and don’t forget to add the hashtag #twpp now that FB does hashtags).  You can make your album public so that anyone can have a look at your photos or you can share your photos with me over on my biz page.

Your blog:  Upload your photos to your blog and share them with the wide world.  Leave a link here so that others can follow the snail-trail.

Flickr:  Share your photos at The Weekend Photo Project.

Pinterest:  If you’re on Pinterest create a board for your weekend photos.  Don’t forget to add the tag #twpp so that others can search for them.  I have a The Weekend Photo Project Pinterest board that I’m going to invite people to pin on.  If you’d love to be involved, follow the board and I’ll send you an invite!

Instagram: Snap a photo with you phone or i-device and upload your photo to Instagram.  You’ll find me here on Instagram.  Don’t forget to add #twpp to your caption.  Proceed to share!

Twitter: Use Instagram, link to your Pinterest board or your blog.  And remember to add #twpp as your hashtag.

Anywhere else you like: I’m sure I’ve left out others ways of sharing, so leave a comment below and let everyone know where your photos will be!

Be sure and leave a comment below to let me (and everyone else) know where you’ll be sharing your photos.  Visit other peoples photos.  Like them.  Comment.

and please, share The Weekend Photo Project
the more people we can get involved, the more fun it will be

Don’t forget that the prompts are open to interpretation – there is no right or wrong photo – just the photo you make of your world as you see it.

365 Project – Day 200

Hooray for me!

Today is 200 days in to the 365 Project, and although I (technically) haven’t taken a photo every day, I have taken over 6000 photos in the last 160’ish days – which is when I got my Canon 550D.

I don’t know that I’m challenging myself enough with the technical aspect of photography.  But I still marvel at the photos I take… Still love the thrill of taking and making… See potential photos wherever I look… and grin like an idiot whenever anyone compliments my work.

Yes, I’m still loving it!!

Celebrating the Solstice

Well, the school holidays have officially begun… as of 1 hour & 41 minutes ago (not that I’m counting…. honestly, I’m not),

The time has come to down tools.  I’m taking the next 2 weeks off as well.  No jewellery, no business, no blogging.

Time to celebrate the Solstice for me – celebrate the Sun, life, health & love; to play with fairies, & take a step toward change & growth.

Time for the kids to believe in the magic of Santa.

Time to spend with family.  To relax & enjoy.

May your celebrations be joyous!

See you in the New Year.
