The Weekend Photo Project: 'macro'

My pain levels have been through the roof today, so I’ve spent the day in a bit of a drug-induced haze…   thought that a photo of one of my pain tabs would be apt.

While editing it I somehow managed to duplicate the image, giving it that weird, woozy look.  Even more apt.

The Weekend Photo Project: Macro

the-weekend-photo-project-27-julyMacro has to be one of my favourite ways of shooting.  I love all the little details – the ones that you might not always be able to see with the naked eye.

The definition of macro (according to dictionary.com) is extremely close-up photography in which the image on the film is as large as, or larger than, the object.  Depending on who you talk to though, you might get a slightly different answer.

I’m lucky enough to own a macro lens – the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro – which I love!  Before I became the proud owner of that lens though, I learned how to use the little flower symbol on my hybrid Fuji.

Not sure what you can shoot in macro?  Pop on over here for some inspiration.

And don’t forget to share your macro shot with me!

Photo a Day April – Something I Found

What did I find today…?

A new line in the Macro range!!

Being the Conservative Hippy that I am, I’ve been moving over to organic, free range, home grown and bio-dynamic foods bit by bit over the last 18 months to 2 years (basically since Daughter got sick and we started seeing our wonderful naturopath Pauline).

So imagine my excitement today when I found these organic meatballs in the freezer section!?
Now I don’t eat red-and-dead, but my taste buds have been out-of-whack lately and I heartily devoured as many as the kids tonight (we’ll see what my stomach thinks of red-and-dead in a couple of hours).

But regardless of what my stomach thinks, this addition to the Macro range will be most welcome by the family and I’m glad I found them today!
