Things I Learned This Week

*That there is such a metal combination as titanium-nickel – and the is is really flexible and used in orthodontics.

*And that orthodontists have the coolest pliers.

*That EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus) and CMV (CytoMegaloVirus) are both members of the Herpesvirus family – how do I know?  We’re waiting on blood tests for Daughter to see which she’s got.

*That arranged marriages happen in Australia – and without the bride and groom even knowing what the other looks like.

*A scold bridle was a device used to punish nagging women in 17th and 18th century Britain.  So glad I didn’t live then!!
