As small boy walked up the steps this afternoon he told me that he and his mate had seen a blind man on the path outside our house yesterday.

“And I told him Mum, that we’d better stand back, just in case.”

At this point I thought he was going to say something like ‘in case we trip the blind man up’.

“Some people do that Mum.  Pretend to be blind and snatch children.”

All I could do was smile.  Out of the mouths of babes.
