10 Easy Ways To Raise Your Spirits


I’ve been looking after myself a little bit more lately… taking 2 minutes here and there, and just generally stopping to smell the roses.

We all get busy – especially this time of year – so I thought I’d share with you 10 of my favourite (and easy) ways to raise my spirits.

  1. read a book
  2. listen to music.  Loud!
  3. and sing along.  Louder!!
  4. visit a cafe and treat yourself to cake
  5. take a bath
  6. put clean sheets on the bed
  7. buy a bunch of flowers
  8. take a walk
  9. have a massage
  10. pat the dog – raises the dog’s spirits too.

The principle is simple.

Do something lovely for yourself.

    It’s true I often do forget to stop and smell the roses, especially at this time of year!
    I’ll try and remember to do something each day for me.
