Because to be boring would be no fun at all !
I find myself looking for beauty in the smallest of details, and seeking still moments.
Photography, for me, is about being lost in those moments. About creating beauty and meaning.
My heart beats a little faster each time I pick up my camera.
I agree. I love it when you meet people and you talk and find out something interesting about them or you find out something about a friend that you never knew before. And I discovered that you are a petrol head in the post below ๐
As for 30 minutes I started off with 10 minutes and built up to 30 mins. And I call it my sanity time. A friend passed away a few weeks ago and her death made me make a few changes to my work ethic too. I realised I can’t do everything at once and have had to scale back my own expectations and focus on one major thing at a time rather than trying to juggle several big things at once.
It is fun finding out stuff about other people. I always think I’m boring, but then you get talking and people will sometimes look at me in wonder and say things like “I never knew” or “I wish things like that would happen to me”.
And then they start talking and I say exactly the same sorts of things back…!
I took 30 minutes today… Walked down the street, grabbed a coffee and some cake, and came back home to read my book. It was wonderful!
I understand sanity time and I understand to about making those changes. We just need to make them stick and not fall back in to our busy ruts.
