raise your hand if your mother told you not to use your teeth to open things…

I’ve only ever had to say it to my kids once or twice.  And “Do not damage those teeth, I’ve spent enough money on them!” usually comes after it.

Instead I’ve taught the kids the trick of gently tapping the offending, non-opening lid on the counter surface.  Don’t know how or why, but it loosens it enough to open it next try.  And if that fails, you find Dad.

just don’t use those damn expensive teeth!
