One of the advantages – or is it a pitfall!? – of being a designer of jewellery, is that quite often you create a piece and fall in love with it.
For me, that is every piece. Every design in my Collections is one that I would personally wear. Some resonate a little louder than others, but it is one of my design principles – apart from each piece being unique, I have to be certain that I myself would wear it.
It is not all that often that I deliberately create a design, just for me.
I received this stunning sterling silver OOAK pendant in a jewellery swap, run by the Starving Jewellery Artist forum. The artist who created it is a very talented lady named Jennifer Kramer. It has sat in amongst my supplies now for over a year. I could never quite decide how to make it up.
I knew that the pendant had to be the highlight of the design – nothing to distract from it. So with this in mind, I teamed it up with smooth and facetted garnets – a simple repeating pattern – with a single dangle.
I’m incredibly pleased with the newest addition to my jewellery box.
