This week I came across a fantastic app called Waterlogue.

needless to say, i’m in love after only 2 days

apples

A collaboration between John Balestrieri (a creator of photo apps) and Robert Clair (a physicist and author), Waterlogue transforms your photos in to watercolour paintings.

I’m still so gobsmacked that I don’t know where to begin!

The images save fairly large – the apples above were 1.2MB.  You’re able to specify what size you wish to save them as in Settings and this comes in handy as it is possible to print them (as long as you save them at their highest resolution!!).  Apparently you can use any type of image you can import in to your photo app and the results are stunning.

Have a look at their Made with Waterlogue page to see some of the works possible with this app.  And be sure to stop by the Help page as it’s really very helpful!!

now if you don’t mind, i’m off to waterlogue a bit more
