Last weekend was the Annual Walcha Show.
A big event for a small town like ours.
A chance to spend a day out – catch up with neighbours & friends; check out the prize-winning cattle; watch the sheep shearing & shriek at the Demolition Derby (that, believe me, is a whole other post!)
This year I entered this necklace…..
which won Second Prize.
The focal bead is a bone bugle. It ranges in colour from deep browns to an orange-red.
The dangle features antique Bali style copper beads, teamed with burgundy pearls.
The stringing material is cord – a dusty rose pink, which shows off the colours of all the beads beautifully.
For me, showing a piece in the Walcha Show Pavillion is advertising.
I’m still building my name & brand locally, so I’ve been wearing this necklace to work. Cheap & effective advertising.
I haven’t named this necklace though. Any suggestions?
