Shop Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

About your handmade jewellery

All of the handcrafted jewellery in the shop is created – start to finish – in my home studio, situated in the New England region of the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. Each design begins with a spark of inspiration and ends in a unique piece of jewellery. Which is then sent directly to you!

Each piece of jewellery in the shop has been handmade by me, so will bear the marks, quirks and imperfections that denote handmade. I hope that like me, you will instead see these small imperfections as a sign of jewellery that has been made for love and care. I do not issue exchanges due to these variations. All items are also sized as accurately as possible with measurements provided by you.

I accept payment via Paypal, or with direct credit/credit cards via the Paypal portal. When paying with your credit card, simply proceed using the Paypal link during the checkout process to complete your payment. Paypal will process your payment and is completely secure, safe and confidential. You DO NOT need an existing Paypal account to use this feature.

I also accept payment through direct debit for Australian customers. If you prefer this method please contact me to arrange this. Orders paid for via direct debit will not be processed until funds have cleared into my account.

Purchasing from the Shop

If you should ever have any difficulties with purchasing from the shop, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will sort out the bugs!

Your jewellery will be shipped in a bubble mailer envelope. Each item is carefully packaged in a slim handmade gift box, tied with ribbon. This flat-packing method saves considerably on shipping costs.

I use regular mail, with items posted to an Australian address being sent via Registered Post.
Estimated Australian standard shipping times: 2-4 days.

International Customers:
I am shipping from rural Australia. Packages to the rest of the world may take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive – though usually arrive within 3-10 working days.
I am not able to track International Parcels – however if you wish your parcel to be sent with extra insurance, please contact me and we can work something out.

Please note, that I cannot be responsible for delivery delays once your order has left my studio. If your package does not turn up within the expected timeframe, please contact me and I will do my best to sort it out!
Also, I cannot accept responsibility for any customs issues or refusals. If you are concerned about your country’s customs laws, please investigate these before you purchase. If a package comes back to me from customs in the original condition, I will, of course, refund your money.

Caring for your copper jewellery

Copper will naturally darken over time, and heat will cause the natural patina to occur faster. Placing your jewellery on an anti-tarnish cloth or in a resealable bag to keep air out will slow the process.

It is advisable to remove copper jewellery before getting into any water, eg. bathing, swimming or washing up. It is also a good idea to remove jewellery before applying any lotions, creams or oils as they will coat the metal and cause it to tarnish.

If your copper jewellery does tarnish, there are a variety of homemade remedies available to clean it.

Also, please take care when cleaning your copper. Due to the soft nature of the metal, it can bend and lose shape if handled roughly.
